What We Do

The Friends of the Larkspur Library is a non-profit organization which provides funding for programs, materials, and technology as well as staff assistance.

The Friends supports many vital library needs, such as purchasing new materials, funding new programs and keeping its electronic database and streaming programs fully subscribed and current. It also has purchased upgrades to the Reading Room and the Children’s Library.

Who’s Larky

Larky is a big gentle yellow hippopotamus who loves books and kids. He was adopted as Larkspur Library’s mascot more than 50 years ago. Larkspur schoolchildren voted on his name. An important part of Larkspur town tradition, Larky comes to many town and library events. Be sure to say hello the next time you see him!
